Myanmar Distillery Co., Ltd is very proud to announce that 2018 CSR Excellence Recognition Certificate & terms to “Silver Level” for three consecutive years recognition which honor by AMCHAM Myanmar.

November 20, Yangon – The American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (AMCHAM Myanmar) celebrated its members’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs at a ceremony held in conjunction with a traditional American Thanksgiving luncheon at Pan Pacific Hotel Yangon. The event was presided over by the U.S. Ambassador to Myanmar, H.E. Scot Marciel.

To achieve the ACE recognition, the applicants’ CSR program must achieve a minimum benchmark across five categories:
1. Overall Integration of CSR Programming and Value Creation
2. Sustainability of Programming
3. Measurability of Results and Reporting
4. Communications of CSR Programming
5. Partnerships

This year the AMCHAM CSR Excellence awards ceremony recognized seventeen companies whose sustainable and impactful CSR programs met this high standard. Additionally, six of the companies received Silver status distinction for achieving ACE recognition for three consecutive years.

Grand Royal Group succeed a new CSR project in Sept 2018

The Grand Royal Group succeed their CSR project “Clean Water Project” at Min Kaung Village group (North) which located at Kyauk Padaung City, District of Nyaung Oo on 7th Sept 2018.  And we formed the Water Committee in the township for sustainability of project. That project was not only digging wells it’s including distribution to the main points of village group. That project has covered for more than 700 houses and more than 3500 people. We are happy to be the part of supporting the communities.

The Real 100 Spirits Brands Worldwide

We’re proud to announce that our brand, Grand Royal, has ranked 43 amount on the Real 100 Spirits Brands Worldwide 2016th Edition. Grand Royal’s ranking went up from 2015’s ranking 48 and it was also included in categories to watch and even outranked Irish Whisky, Jameson (48) in the list. The 2016 edition of the IWSR’s annual Real 100 rankings was published in every July. It lists the world’s top 100 spirits brands by volume, pitting famous international brands against local spirits titans that dominate in their home markets.

The corporate rebranding ceremony of Grand Royal Group (previously IBTC Group of Company) was held on 07 May 2016 at the company headquarter. The event was at Pyay Road, 6.5 Miles from 7:30 am. Group Chairman, U Aung Moe Kyaw and U Thein Win of Group Controller Sale from Grand Royal opened this ceremony.

The corporate rebranding involved a new corporate name, restyling logos, new strategies and positioning to pull the company to the next level.

Ceremony of successful completion of a tube well at Tharsi, Mandalay from Grand Royal Group

Ministry of Social welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Grand Royal Group celebrated the successful completion of a tube well with a charity group of young artist at Ngar Su Yeik Thar monastery, Kakkyay Inn village, Tharsi Township, Mandalay. U Tint Oo, a director from Grand Royal Group gave a speech and cut the ribbon to open the ceremony. Grand Royal Group will continue provide tube wells and water supply to rural areas as the company’s annual CSR plan. The group also plans to donate clean water to the areas in Yangon and Mandalay division, where there is no access to drinking water, with the government’s guidance.

Grand Royal Group’s CSR mission includes active participation in educating the public on electricity power cable installation, motor pumps, water pumps factory, brick wells construction, water tanks and how to get safe drinking water in rural areas. Furthermore, Grand Royal Group is currently testing an underwater supply system at Kyar Pwar village, Kyar Eaing, Ma Hlaing Township, Mandalay Division. The company aims to participate in active CSR programs to help Myanmar and to improve the living standards of the public according to the Managing Director’s mission to become a Good Corporate Citizen.

Grand Royal received a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility

On November 21st, Grand Royal received a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility in Myanmar during an event held by The American Chamber of Commerce In Yangon. The ceremony was honored by American Ambassador and other members of American Chamber of Commerce. Grand Royal was rewarded for its transparency, good governance and sustainable business practices which reflects the best business traditions and will serve as a model for others companies to follow. Grand Royal Group executives shared their vision and CSR activities from 2008 to 2015. These experiences included treating over 70,000 patients who suffered the eye injuries and now in 2016, Grand Royal is currently donating wells to several townships in Yangon and Mandalay which suffer water shortages.
