The corporate rebranding ceremony of Grand Royal Group (previously IBTC Group of Company) was held on 07 May 2016 at the company headquarter. The event was at Pyay Road, 6.5 Miles from 7:30 am. Group Chairman, U Aung Moe Kyaw and U Thein Win of Group Controller Sale from Grand Royal opened this ceremony.

The corporate rebranding involved a new corporate name, restyling logos, new strategies and positioning to pull the company to the next level.

Ceremony of successful completion of a tube well at Tharsi, Mandalay from Grand Royal Group

Ministry of Social welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Grand Royal Group celebrated the successful completion of a tube well with a charity group of young artist at Ngar Su Yeik Thar monastery, Kakkyay Inn village, Tharsi Township, Mandalay. U Tint Oo, a director from Grand Royal Group gave a speech and cut the ribbon to open the ceremony. Grand Royal Group will continue provide tube wells and water supply to rural areas as the company’s annual CSR plan. The group also plans to donate clean water to the areas in Yangon and Mandalay division, where there is no access to drinking water, with the government’s guidance.

Grand Royal Group’s CSR mission includes active participation in educating the public on electricity power cable installation, motor pumps, water pumps factory, brick wells construction, water tanks and how to get safe drinking water in rural areas. Furthermore, Grand Royal Group is currently testing an underwater supply system at Kyar Pwar village, Kyar Eaing, Ma Hlaing Township, Mandalay Division. The company aims to participate in active CSR programs to help Myanmar and to improve the living standards of the public according to the Managing Director’s mission to become a Good Corporate Citizen.

Grand Royal received a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility

On November 21st, Grand Royal received a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility in Myanmar during an event held by The American Chamber of Commerce In Yangon. The ceremony was honored by American Ambassador and other members of American Chamber of Commerce. Grand Royal was rewarded for its transparency, good governance and sustainable business practices which reflects the best business traditions and will serve as a model for others companies to follow. Grand Royal Group executives shared their vision and CSR activities from 2008 to 2015. These experiences included treating over 70,000 patients who suffered the eye injuries and now in 2016, Grand Royal is currently donating wells to several townships in Yangon and Mandalay which suffer water shortages.

Achievement of ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Standard certification

We, Grand Royal Group, are pleased to announce achievement of ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Standard certification as a very first distillery group in Myanmar by helping our community with waste water treatment facilities.
Somboon Pavavongsak, Director of Grand Royal Group, stated that the wastewater treatment plant not only helps reduce the environmental impact at the distillery, but is expected to turn a profit for the company as well.
Obtaining the ISO certification was a rigorous exercise which required years of preparation, effort, reviewing audit and having partnership with UK based ACM limited for technical support.  In order to successfully achieve the goal, we make sure every responsible person in the organization knows how to operate the facility in a more sustainable manner and improve the relationships with our local community.
We held a press release on 4th June 2016 at Hmawbe factory with distinguished guests including local parliament members, IRD departments and environmental township officers, members of the media and other different organizations. In the press release, U Aung Moe Kyaw, who is the Group Chairman of Grand Royal Group outlined the process of the water waste treatment which includes:
1. Physical treatment process or primary treatment process
2. Biological treatment process

  ​(b) Aerobic treatment process
3. Stabilization process or polishing process
4. Output into the stream
