Starting from 2023, in line with ThaiBev’s transformation 3.0 project, Passion 2030, GRGI implemented CSR projects in the most needed areas where we have reciprocal benefits with the communities.

Nurturing Future Professionals: GRGI Internship Program 2025

In FY24–25, GRGI hosted 16 interns across the Manufacturing, Marketing, and Human Capital departments as part of our commitment to developing young talents and providing practical industry experience. Throughout their internships, the interns contributed to various initiatives, including supporting new manufacturing process development, assisting marketing campaigns, and enhancing human capital strategies.

Their involvement brought fresh ideas and new perspectives, fostering a collaborative and dynamic working environment. All interns have successfully completed their programs, leaving a positive and lasting impact on the organization and paving the way for future internship cohorts.

GRGI is proud to support their professional growth and remains committed to nurturing future leaders. We are also pleased to announce that two interns have successfully transitioned into permanent roles within the Marketing and Human Capital departments.

Drink Smart, Drive Safe: Responsible Drinking & Road Safety Campaign

With the purpose of raising awareness about the existence and leveraging the reputation of the “Myanmar Liquor Association,” as well as promoting responsible drinking among drivers in metro areas, GRGI officially initiated a CSR campaign titled “Drink Smart, Drive Safe” in February 2024 after getting official approval through meetings with MLA members from different companies. It is also to highlight that it is not a personal decision but a responsibility to society. Basically, this campaign plays as a reminder to the target audience that, by making smart choices, it can prevent accidents and ultimately save lives.

As an industry leader, GRGI initiated this campaign for MLA and is the proud contributor that manages the campaign. The campaign runs in Burmese language and reaches to the target audience through engaging social contents including tips and tricks, safety reminders and real-life stories that can relate to the target audience. The campaign was also extended to TikTok to ensure its smooth continuation of the campaign reaches the target audience.

The main masthead idea refers to the traffic sign that is widely seen in Myanmar. The masthead includes the brake and alcohol packaging placed together as a warning exclamation mark. The color field in the masthead represents the alcohol yellow and road symbol.

Honoring Our 29th Anniversary Through Community Giving

The year 2024 marked the 29th anniversary of GRGI. To commemorate this milestone, GRGI celebrated with a charitable donation initiative in April 2025, following the conclusion of the anniversary period. Internal funds, jointly contributed by the Company, the senior managements and our dedicated employees, were raised to provide essential commodities to communities residing in the vicinity of Yangon Distillery and Bottling Plant and Mandalay Bottling Plant.

The donation ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025. The event was graced by the presence of the local community from Leik Poke Village, along with our esteemed co-chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Finance Officer, Chief Manufacturing Officer, Chief Quality Officer, department heads, and dedicated employees.

This initiative underscores GRGI’s continued commitment to supporting local communities and fostering meaningful social contributions, continuing a tradition that has been upheld since the Company’s 25th anniversary in 2021.

Sustainable Drinking Water for Healthier Communities in Ayeyarwady Region

In alignment with GRGI’s core value of “Care for Stakeholders,” we continue to prioritize CSR projects in regions where our key raw material, broken rice, is produced, focusing on the specific needs of those communities.

Recognizing the urgent need for clean drinking water, we installed and donated a solar-powered RO water system and treatment plant in Za Yat Seik and Gway Tauk Chaung villages in Pathein Township, Ayeyarwady Region. Following the guidance of our parent company, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, GRGI prioritizes environmental conservation by using solar energy to operate the plant without relying on electricity.

The solar-powered water purification system provides clean drinking water to local communities, operating 5–6 hours daily and producing approximately 500 liters per hour, depending on sunlight availability. In addition to meeting villagers’ daily needs, it also serves passersby along the village road. This initiative reflects GRGI’s respect for the communities we serve and our commitment to sustainable development through clean energy and access to safe drinking water.

Clean Water for Healthier Communities in Magway Region

GRGI implemented a Purified Drinking Water Project in Kani Village, Myothit Township, Magway Region, benefiting more than 190 households and over 1,100 residents. The purpose of the project aims to improve access to safe drinking water, reduce water-related health risks, and encourage proper water-use practices within the community.

Key components of the initiative include the drilling of a 6-inch, solar-powered underground tube well over 800 feet deep, the installation of a 5,000-gallon ground water storage tank, and a solar-powered RO water purification system with a production capacity of 1,000 liters per hour.

In addition, a 2,500-gallon overhead water tank supplies clean water directly to the village monastery, school, and households. To support sustainability, a 2,000-gallon wastewater collection tank was constructed for tree planting and cattle use, alongside a 2,000-gallon community-use water tank for the monastery and school, all supported by a complete water distribution system.

Welfare Support Program for Employees and Surrounding Communities

In line with our commitment to employee welfare and community development, GRGI organized this annual welfare initiative in conjunction with the sacred time of Thadingyut Lighting Festival. The program supports employees who are job grades 5 and below, and communities surrounding GRGI’s sales branches and warehouses across Myanmar, providing essential assistance and fostering a spirit of togetherness.

This initiative reflects GRGI’s core value of Care for Stakeholders, reinforcing the belief that meaningful celebration begins with giving back and sharing positive impact with those we serve.

Operational Updates on Solar Irrigation and RO Water Systems in Bago Region

In 2023, GRGI initiated a sustainable agriculture through the implementation of a Solar Energy Irrigation System for local farmers in San Hpe Model Village as a pilot CSR renewable energy project in Bago Region. The system has significantly improved water access during spring, summer and rainy season, allowing farmers to harvest two crops of summer paddy and one crop of monsoon paddy in a year. In 2025, the farmers harvested approximately 188 acres of paddy, with the total production of paddy yields exceeding 18,280 baskets, which is equivalent to 381,320 kg.

This increase in productivity has led to higher household incomes, improved livelihood stability, and growing confidence among farmers to expand cultivation in future seasons. The project has also reduced reliance on fuel-powered pumps, lowering operational costs and environmental impact. This initiative demonstrates sustainable resource management, community ownership, and the positive role of renewable energy in strengthening rural economic development.

As a continuation initiative to the solar irrigation system, GRGI installed a Solar Energy Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water System and Treatment Plant in San Hpe Model Village, utilizing surplus solar energy generated during non-irrigation periods. The system produces up to 3,000 liters of clean drinking water daily, exceeding the village’s average needs and significantly reducing household water costs. Operated by the village water committee, the RO water system supplies surplus purified water to neighboring villages at affordable rates, with proceeds supporting village operations, while GRGI bears responsibility for ongoing maintenance. This initiative strengthens water security, improves public health, and maximizes renewable energy efficiency, with GRGI committed to ongoing maintenance to ensure long-term sustainability.

RO Water Plant Maintenance Across Yangon, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring reliable access to safe drinking water, GRGI carried out maintenance and improvement works for RO water plants across Yangon, Bago, and Ayeyarwady Regions.

In Yangon, maintenance activities included the replacement of pressure pump capacitors, general system servicing, and the repair and replacement of water taps, pipelines, and electrical components at War Yar Lat Monastery, Botahtaung Pagoda, and Shwedagon Pagoda.

In Bago Region, RO membrane replacement was completed at the San Hpe Model Village water plant in Nyaunglebin Township to maintain optimal purification performance. Additionally, a new water filter tank was installed at Za Yat Seik Village in Pathein Township, Ayeyarwady Region.

These maintenance efforts support the continued functionality, safety, and sustainability of clean water infrastructure serving local communities.

Caring for Our People: Flu Vaccination Initiative

Guided by our core values, Creating Value, Collaboration and Caring for Stakeholders, GRGI conducted the annual flu vaccination program across all business units, including Head Office, distilleries, warehouses and sales branches nationwide in 2025 as well.

This initiative supports employee well-being, helps reduce seasonal illnesses, and promotes a healthy, resilient workforce. We thank our Human Capital’s Health Safety team for their effective coordination and our employees for their strong participation.

Annual Medical Check-Up for Employees

As part of our ongoing commitment to employee well-being, GRGI conducted the annual medical check-up program for our employees. This initiative aims to promote preventive healthcare, support early detection of health conditions, and encourage a healthy and productive workforce. By providing access to regular medical assessments, GRGI reaffirms our responsibility to safeguard employee health and reflects our core value of Care for Stakeholders through sustained investment in employee welfare.

Healthcare Support Program: Charity Clinic in Hmawbi Township

The GRGI charity clinic, located at Leik Poke Village in Hmawbi Township, is operating effectively. In 2025, GRGI provided medical services to 972 patients, comprising 293 male and 679 female patients, respectively. The clinic was established to offer free medical support to the communities surrounding the Hmawbi Plant, ensuring access to essential healthcare services for those in need.

This initiative not only demonstrates GRGI’s dedication to the well-being of local residents but also aligns with ThaiBev’s Health pillar, reinforcing the Company’s commitment to promoting health and wellness in the communities where it operates. Through this program, GRGI continues to make a meaningful contribution, generously supporting the community and improving the quality of life for our neighbors.

Helping Rebuild Lives Across Nine Severely-Impacted Regions After the Devastating Earthquake

Following the 7.7-magnitude devastating earthquake, GRGI extended our relief efforts to affected communities. From April to June 2025, essential relief packages including food supplies, medicines, first aid kits, and mosquito nets were distributed to 2,515 households across nine severely affected areas: Pyinmana, Lewe, Tatkon, Nay Pyi Taw (Thabyaygon), Sagaing, Mandalay (Maha Aungmye and Amarapura), Inle, Yamethin, and Pyawbwe. This initiative aimed to support immediate needs and assist communities during the early stages of recovery.

Relief Support for Our Employees Following the Devastating Earthquake

In response to the earthquakes in central Myanmar, including the 7.7-magnitude event on 28 March 2025, GRGI implemented immediate employee welfare measures as part of our relief and recovery program. A total of 610 food and relief packages were distributed to employees in Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, and Sagaing. In addition, 136 rebuilding support packages were provided to employees whose homes sustained damage, with assistance determined based on the severity of impact.

Supporting Trade Partners in the Aftermath of the Earthquake

GRGI extended support to trade partners in Mandalay who experienced inventory losses due to the earthquakes. The Sales Department coordinated the distribution of relief packages to affected distributors to facilitate recovery efforts and enable the resumption of business operations. These actions reflect GRGI’s core values of Creating Value, Collaboration, and Care for Stakeholders, reinforcing the company’s commitment to standing alongside our partners and communities during times of crisis.

Quarterly Highlights of General Donations

As part of our CSR initiatives in 2025, GRGI, through our offices, bottling plants, and distilleries in Yangon and Mandalay, carried out regular monthly and quarterly community support activities. These initiatives included financial assistance and the provision of essential supplies to local religious institutions, supporting the maintenance of their facilities and the continuation of their activities.

In addition, during major religious festivals, GRGI contributed food, clothing, and other necessities to enable communities to participate meaningfully in these important cultural occasions. Through these ongoing contributions, GRGI reaffirms our commitment to community well-being and sustainable development, and to contributing to the growth and prosperity of the regions in which we operate.

Cultural Heritage Restoration Donation for Shwedagon Pagoda

During the first quarter of 2025, major renovation works were carried out at the Shwedagon Pagoda, involving the installation of new gold plates. GRGI contributed to this significant national and cultural heritage project by donating five gold plates, each valued at MMK 15 million, for a total contribution of MMK 75 million. This donation was made as a sacred offering in support of the preservation of the Shwedagon Pagoda. GRGI remains committed to supporting cultural preservation initiatives and promoting the country’s rich cultural heritage whenever opportunities arise.
