GRGI Continues Relief Operations in Wake of Myanmar Earthquake

In response to the recent earthquakes in central Myanmar—including the 7.7-magnitude quake on 28 March—GRGI has launched a swift and compassionate relief effort.

✅ All staff confirmed safe, though some experienced personal loss and property damage.
✅ Operations resumed at the Mandalay plant on 29 March after safety inspections; all other facilities cleared for continued operation.

Relief Highlights 

Staff Support

  • 610 food and relief packages distributed to staff in Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, and Sagaing
  • 136 rebuilding packages provided based on home damage severity

Community Outreach (Post-Thingyan) 

Over 2,500 households across (9) severely affected regions have received essential relief packages, including food, medicine, first aid kits, and mosquito nets throughout the months of April, May and June.

Support for Trade Partners

In addition to employee and community relief, GRGI is extending its support to trade partners in Mandalay, where inventory losses have been reported. The Sales Department is actively coordinating the distribution of relief packages to assist distributors in recovering and resuming operations.
